Sorry my email is short again, we only have an hour to email today!
Christmas was great! I am grateful that it's over, though... so now people are willing to meet with us again (: haha. We were able to teach an AMAZING lesson on Christmas Morning to our investigator, Lilly. From the beginning she was sort of stand off-ish, but once we showed "A book of mormon story" mormon message, she was totally fired up! She really related to Chris Cook and it was FANTASTIC! Totally by the spirit.
That really was probably my favorite part of this week.. And one of our favorite member family's cousins are staying with them. Her name is Sofi.. .and she's AWESOME!! She's from Chile and so we talk to each other in Spanglish all the time (: I love it! We were able to teach her that God is our loving Heavenly Father, since she had NO concept of that. She's been raised Catholic, but she doesn't really believe in it. She is super smart and very mature for a 15 year old. I just love that she listens to us and asks REAL questions. She's only here for 3 months, so we're trying to help her learn all she can about English/Americanism.... but mostly the gospel in its fullness(: So far she has been soaking it up and LOVING it. It's "kaban" (cool).
Have a great New Year!! (:

Almost Christmas!

orry this is so short! The normal library we go to is closed for the holiday, and the local library only gives us a limited time!
Fun thing of the week: I SAW A BABY GOAT! (: We were cleaning the church and someone brought their pet goat!
Sis Brown and I are very excited for Christmas! (: It will be a great party!! We've already got SO many meal plans with different members, we're not sure what to do with ourselves! So I'll probably gain some weight this week, but I'll start working it off next year! (;
We were able to have a "Christmas" miracle yesterday, (really just a normal everyday missionary life thing) We went to teach a less active, who lives with her sister-in-law... who is now interested in the church> We then went across the street and gave "A Savior is Born" card to the father and daughter there, and as we walked to the car the daughter came up and kept talking to us and asked us to come back and teach her more! This all happened in 15 minutes! (:
It's amazing how the Lord simply always lets things work out. No need to stress on our part, just have the faith to make things work!
Love y'all and have a Holly Jolly Christmas!

P.S. tell Tanner happy late birthday for me (:

Jealous!

I wish we had snow here, but for now we'll enjoy the white of the harvest.... Addyson and Dalton were baptized on Saturday! (: They're the cutest 9 year old twins! It was sooo adorable. We sang The Spirit of God as the closing song and Dalton just started crying because he felt the spirit so much (:
Our week was SOOO strange. Nothing went according to plan, we had to do a little escape into Pensacola to help a couple of sisters learn to communicate more effectively with each other... but now things are going well! (: We think it was just Satan trying to get at us before the Collins' baptism, but whatever he was trying to do didn't work!

We had zone training and it went really well! We emphasized a lot on just simplifying our teaching and getting rid of the fluff... and so Sis Brown and I demonstrated this by "boxing" each other, then finally one of us gave the other an uppercut to be done. It was really quite hilarious... (: We stole the idea from zone leaders back when we were in fort walton, so some of the missionaries had seen it before. But they said they enjoyed it a lot more when we did it, and I hope it helped everyone else to remember what we taught!

Life is still just golden with Sis Brown! We continue to laugh and cry together (: And oh have we laughed this week... we were just so exhausted at one part that all we could do was just laugh at how EVERYTHING was going wrong... But really we wouldn't have had it gone any other way. People we had planned to see cancelled on us, we got caught in between the drama of an active member and her non member sister we started teaching.... haha the fun just never ends.

We're very excited for Christmas... not sure when we're going to skype or who with yet, but I'll have them shoot y'all a text/call so we can get it worked out. It should be Christmas day and it'll probably be sometime after 3pm your time.

Parade!

We were in a parade! It was way fun! (: The primary children dressed up as shepherds/ cows/ goats/ etc, and there was a star. We sang primary songs and passed out candy and mormon Christmas cards! Easily my favorite part of the week!
Life is really just soo good. I don't know what else to say (:
Sorry this week was so short... I'll write more next week!

Thanksgiving

(: Thanksgiving was a blast! We spent the day at different members homes, and just enjoyed looking at how other families interact with each other. We found 6 new investigators this week! We're so excited to teach them! One of them is SOO prepared. Her grandmother passed away a couple of months ago, and she was SUPER into religion.. and this girl doesn't even know if she has faith in God... but after we were leaving she said "This was nice! Not annoying, like it normally is. I like this, I can't wait for you to come back tomorrow!" (: And we can't wait to see her tonight!! She LOVES her family and so we KNOW that the Gospel of Jesus Christ will totally ring true in her heart.

Later this month there's a couple in our ward who will be getting Sealed! It is soo cool (: He has been a member for 6 years, and he had to quit a lot of things to join. Then he's been struggling, but getting back on track again. And then his daughter totally called him out and told him that he wasn't honoring his priesthood, so he got his act together so that his wife could be happy and that their family could be for FOREVER (: The thing I love most about this, is that he's not only making changes for now, HE'S REALLY COMMITTED TO THE COVENANTS HE WILL MAKE to God in the temple. He isn't just going to get sealed and jump off the bandwagon, he's determined that he will live true to it so that his daughter will think that he's a good person. And that's a life long journey (: People out here will do ANYTHING for their families, and most of the time it means they have to change for the better (: There's another husband who him and his wife aren't sealed, but he hasn't been worthy for a while. She's struggled too, but now she's staying firm... and so he is slowly starting to change, too! The other week he passed the sacrament!! (: It's the little things that make us the happiest! Living worthy EVERYDAY in the little things is what leads us to being happy in the BIG things!

(: Life is great!

Thanksgiving and Christmas in Milton!!!

I will be spending the holidays in Milton (: I'm way excited! Sis Brown and I will be having such a blast! We already have a ton of plans to meet with different members in the ward and to just HAVE A GOOD TIME. While doing the work, of course (:
This week we had so many "Milton Miracles!" We found 4 new investigators in 2 days! One is a Norse/Viking/Pagan something or another. It was soo funny because he was SO surprised that we were actually talking to him> Apparently when the elders came by a couple of months ago they literally ran off because he was wearing a Norse necklace and he has tattoos all over his body.  He started off by saying he wasn't really interested, but by the end of the conversation he was asking so many questions and saying "Y'all need to come back. I'm really interested in finding out more!" #PlanofSalvation

I really love serving here in the "Deep South" (: There's so much to learn! One of our new investigators is from Mexico! So I get to speak Spanglish with her (: It is the best!! She used to attend church EVERY week when she was in Dallas, but now that she is in Milton she didn't know where the church was... but now she does! She's planning on coming every week again (: She said that she knows the Book of Mormon is true and that for her the Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints is God's church!

(: I love Milton.

Time Flies

Ohh my! Life is just so great here in Milton (: We have a baptismal date coming for a set of 9 year old twins, THEY'RE ADORABLE!! haha Their names are Dalton and Addie. They're both so smart and hyper.. but they actually retain what we teach them!

Life is just good. So I'm happy. Transfer calls are next week, and I REALLY want to stay. So we'll see (: haha. We went on exchanges with the sisters in Fairhope Alabama this week and one of the sisters goes home soon, and it's just sooo weird... because I've known her my whole mission! I feel like I keep working harder and harder and I FINALLY figure out how to do everything! and the time is so short now! It's amazing to see how the Lord will help you grow so much that you have a skewed concept  of time... but probably because our timing is different than God's.

I know that being on my mission is the BEST decision I have ever made. I'm super excited to be able to go home and continue living the gospel joyful! (:

Nov 9 Lot's of letters this week

This week was fantastic! I went to Tallahassee for a conference on Tuesday and Wednesday and I was able to see Sis McClellan again (:
Things are going really well in Milton. Sis Brown and I are finally working out how to work with the members better and we've been seeing tons of great miracles  because of it! We've been taking more time to get to know people, and they have become some perfect fellowshippers for the less actives and investigators we are working with! (:
Yesterday I gave a talk on scripture study, and as I studied for it I realized there are SO many benefits from reading your scriptures! It gives you a special peace that NOTHING from the world can give you! I am looking forward to working hard with Sis Brown and having soooo much fun (:
Love y'all!

This is her response to my letter about xmas gifts and such:
Yikes. The prices of the shirts are ridiculous. Definitely wait until you can find them cheaper. I'm good on skirts and treats... haha I'm kind of at the point on my mission where I'm trying to "down size" since I'll be going home and I can't take everything with me. I think just getting letters from people would make me the happiest.. and a chocolate orange. I have the stocking from last year, and yeah...
I could use some more deodorant! ha and black ponytail holders. And mom, if you could take time to go to the temple and take a picture outside of it with you and grandma... that'd be cool (: I don't really want much, and I'm not really in need of anything.. but if something comes up I'll let you know.

This is her response to Randy's letter:

Glad you're recovering pretty well from your surgery! Remember to keep resting! It will be worth it in the long run!
I miss sushi! The South doesn't have any good chineese/japanese restaurants... only some good Thai places, and those only exist in Fort Walton... haha. So I know what I'm eating when I get home!

I love serving out here, because there are so many people that remind me of people back at home (: I feel really blessed to be serving in this mission. Even though I might not always like the food, I always learn to love the people I"m working with.

Are you still doing scouts? What are your Christmas plans?
love you!

Happy Halloween

This week was GREAT! We were able to teach someone who literally said to us in the first lesson, "I just want to get baptized. I already know everything, I've been studying this for 2 years. When's the soonest I can get baptized?"
(: Haha so we set the date for January 9! Her and her new husband are super excited and can't wait to be sealed (he's already a member)! And we're teaching their 12 year old daughter now, too (:

It's so amazing to see the different growth that happens in an area when you're willing to obey the rules, even if it seems like a sacrifice.. "Sacrifice brings forth the blessings of heaven." I love living the gospel standards!

I love being with Sis Brown! We found some cotton fields on Halloween(: It was so unexpected... and just made us beyond happy!

There is always so much to learn from Milton. I feel like I've been here for a month because of how much I've learned... when I've only been here a week! I'm very grateful to be here.

We were able to meet every single one of our goals this week(: I have a HUGE testimony of goals, now. When you're actively seeking to reach something, progress is made!!

An idea for Cooper: 30 minutes of exercise every day. There's a reason why we do it as missionaries, and it's because it allows us to let go of the stress we build up during the day. Cooper could go biking, jump roping, running, and lots of other things. Even just walking outside helps make my days 80% better. And maybe having him read the Book of Mormon... it's A PROMISE from God that as you read the Book of Mormon YOU WILL FIND YOUR PURPOSE in life. Cooper wants to escape because he doesn't feel like there's a point. Once he realizes there's value to his life, he'll start doing things to help him achieve that purpose. Remember how Jason would have to go door to door to meet different people and expand his social skills? Maybe you could have Cooper be responsible to go visit Betty once a week. Or find someone else who is in need of some help that he can do. If someone is relying on him, he'll feel a need to go and do things. He could start mowing someone's yard, just out of kindness. Not for money. He'll grow to love helping God's children, and he'll feel God's love for HIM.

Switch

Soooo... I'm not in Lynn Haven anymore. I'm in MILTON! (:
And I'm still loving it! It is A LOT like Pascagoula, and I'm SOOOO happy! (: I seriously love being here! I'm companions with Sis Brown from Henderson, Nevada... and we're having a great time!! (: We found 2 new investigators yesterday, and that was our first day being together! We're really excited to see what happens this next transfer! We're also the Sister Training Leaders, so basically we work with the other sisters in the area to help them to become their best selves!
I am way happy to be here, and I'm also very grateful I got to spend 7 weeks in Lynn Haven.
It's true: YOU CAN BE HAPPY IN ANY CIRCUMSTANCE!
(: Love y'all!

Panama City

Dang! The time went by way too fast today! This whole year has been such a blur! I'm still loving it here in Lynn Haven (: The members have been taking WAY good care of us. We were able to truly just follow the spirit this week> There were a couple of days that I was not feeling so great. I had a cold, but I'm better now. It's amazing how even when my voice sounds like a frog is in my throat, I still want to run after people and tell them about Christ and His gospel. (But then they get afraid of being sick... ha. So I only did it when truly prompted(; )
We were able to meet with a former investigator who I LOVE! She is constantly asking questions and making sure she knows things for HERSELF. We were able to meet with Grumpy and get him interested in doing his family history. He's so funny. He mentioned "You girls are lucky, I've never talked this much with missionaries before." And then he made it sound like he wanted us to leave.... but Sis Evans and I made sure to get him interested in finding out more about his Father's side. (THe whole time he has said that he has all of his family history done..... and then we caught him in the lie! He has NO IDEA who his fathers parents are! ANd he only knows the names for the grandparents.... ) Needless to say, we'll be doing tons of family history this week(: I'm so very grateful that I've got relatives that are helping me out on the other side. This work really wouldn't be possible without the help of Ryan, Jane, Tony, and many others I haven't had the opportunity of knowing on this side.

Life truly is ETERNAL! (:
Love ya!

P.S. For Christmas I would LOVE to have Down East Basic Wonder Tees, size XS in White, Black, and Creme(:

Monday, October 12, 2015

(: This week was fun! The move TOOK FOREVER, but we got a new investigator that day! So it wasn't soo bad.
I'm really excited to begin teaching more! Sis Evans has her training finished now, so we have more time to be outside and apply the things we've been doing extra studies for!
I really do love it here in Lynn Haven(: I feel like I'm back at home. The Walmart has the same layout, there's Five Guys and Wendy's.. ha (: it's a little piece of home here in the South.

Food for thought:
Our mission president has been having us focus a lot on family history. He has been posing this question:
"Did you know that when you were baptized in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, you were baptized for more than just yourself?"

Because we have TEMPLES of the Lord we are able to help turn the hearts of the children to the fathers! We are able to HELP SAVE THOSE WHO HAVE ALREADY PASSED ON.

Someone I love has often asked me the question, "Why do the work for the dead when you're among the living?" I would say it is because the worth of ALL souls is great in the sight of God. Whether we are living OR dead, we are STILL HIS CHILDREN. When we are in the service of our fellow beings, whether seen or unseen, we are in the service of our God. He expects us to take care of ALL of His children. Not just the ones our human eyes are limited to see.

I know that I am serving a mission which lapses onto BOTH sides of the veil. And so is everyone else on this earth. It's time for us to gather EVERY corner of the earth.
How? Through love and DILIGENT service. Don't give up on those you Visit/Home teach. It might take YEARS for them to choose to change, but EVERY MONTH you can help them become closer. It doesn't have to be an elaborate visit. Just a simple knock on the door to let them know YOU care. They can choose to not answer, but YOU CAN CHOOSE TO BE THERE. As you are constant in their lives, the Lord will be able to work WITH you when it is His time. Don't miss out!

Conference and new address for karly

Conference was amazing! I'm so glad that I was able to listen to it (: there spirit was very strong and I was able to find lots of personal goals to work on... for the rest of my life! haha
I was able to see Cameron, but I didn't get a chance to see Lindsay.
Probably the high light from my week was last night! There's this awesome family that lives in Southport, and the father's father lives in the lot next to them. He likes to go by "Grumpy" and he wants NOTHING to do with the church. His son is the only member in the family, and he has kind of given up on thinking his dad will accept the gospel. But that's where Sis Evans and I come in (: We've been praying and we REALLY feel like Grumpy is ready to at least have his heart softened through family history! So after talking to his grandson, Luke decided to enlist the help of his mom so that we could go over to Grumpy's home last night and talk about his family. It was SOOO COOL, because the mom was totally expecting Grumpy to not even let us in.... but he did! And he kept talking and talking! WE actually had to tell him we needed to go, instead of him inviting us to leave. It was sooo cool, and I definitely felt the spirit there (: I know that the Lord has His ever perfect timing, and we CAN'T GIVE UP HOPE on our loved ones... because if we give up, the Lord can't work through us.

I'm so grateful to be a part of this great work!
Love y'all!

Also, please notice the address change (: We're moving this Wednesday!

The LIfe

I love this area so much (:  I especially love the people!
There truly is so much potential here. We have so many families that can be completed! I'm so excited! (: We've been able to meet with a lot of them, but not start teaching just yet... but we're going to get there! (:
We did SO much this week, even though our numbers didn't necessarily show it. I'm super grateful to be here. I really feel like I'm supposed to be here and that I'm fulfilling my purpose.
General Conference will be AWESOME!!! So y'all better make the time to watch it!
I had the neatest experience this week. THere's a lady in the ward who is struggling with addiction, so we call her every morning and have a little devotional with her (: It is super awesome. You can literally HEAR the difference it makes in her voice from the beginning of the phone call, to the end. I love being able to know I'm helping someone have a more personal relationship with Christ. I know that reading AND living the principles taught in the Book of Mormon is THE ONLY WAY to become closest to God.

Loads of Love!
Oh also! We're changing apartments with the elders next week, so I'm still in the same ward, just moving to a different apartment. I'll get the address to you next week> But if you have already sent stuff, the elders will be able to get it to me anyway.

P.S.
I"m so proud of you mom, for reading the BOM with Tanner. I KNOW IT WILL MAKE ALL OF THE DIFFERENCE that he needs in his life. Partaking of the sacrament is SO IMPORTANT as well. It is there that we renew our covenants, it is where we become re-energized to live in this hard world. So Tanner, GO TO CHURCH. The Lord is able to bless you when you go. But if you don't go, He has no promise.

Funeral

Well. This week started off to a strange start.....
Tuesday we went to a less-active members home to help her sort through some papers while her husband was struggling with pancreatic cancer in the next room... and then they knew that his time was coming. So they invited us into the room and asked us to say a prayer... So we said a prayer and the spirit was SUPER strong. Then I felt impressed to ask them if they wanted me to sing some hymns....
So I spent an hour singing until he passed away. Most of the family was around and they weren't members, or they were extremely less active. There was one family member that I KNOW I have met before, but it must've been in the pre-existence because there was no way we would have met here on earth. SO that was crazy.
Anyway... they asked me to sing at his funeral. So I did. Then the next day in sacrament the bishop asked me to sing again... so I did. And now everyone is ambushing me to join the ward choir, but I don't want to be in the ward choir because it's at the same time as Mission prep and I want to teach Mission prep... hah. I'll figure things out. (:

It was just so amazing to see how the ward REALLY stepped in. Most of the members HAD NEVER MET this woman before. She hadn't gone to church for YEARS, only going to occasional conferences. Her husband who passed away isn't a member. Her son, though baptized, has NO understanding of the gospel. I am VERY grateful that everyone in my family has close access to the gospel, even if they don't want to believe it for themselves.

The rest of this week was mostly spent on organizing our apartment/ paperwork from LITERALLY THE LAST FIVE YEARS of missionaries here. We're slowly moving forward with our work, and we feel every slow minute of it. hah. We'll get through though (: I love it here! The members are all so loving and make me feel like I"m a valued member of their ward family!

Keep living the good life!

My gospel rant:
There are SO MANY LESS ACTIVE/INACTIVE people here in the South. It makes me SOO sad. There are so many families that are living without the gospel because their parents weren't valiant in the faith. It is simply not fair. Luckily, the Atonement of Jesus Christ will ultimately make things right.  But we CERTAINLY have to work on keeping our faith strong. We are all saved by Christ, but do we let him CHANGE us? To learn to live a Celestial life?

There really is only one way to gain ETERNAL and LASTING peace. It is through the gospel of Jesus Christ: Faith, Repentance, Making Covenants with God, Receiving the Gift of the Holy Ghost, and Enduring to the End.

Gah. I just want people to live right so they can be happy. ha(:

New Area.

The Lynn Haven ward is SO awesome! I have already learned A TON from the members here. They are SO great at doing member missionary work. They're bold, loving, and understand that the gospel is the only constant in our lives. They each have their own unique conversion story.
A cool miracle.
SO remember how I served in Niceville for 7 weeks? Well, there was a woman there living with her sister in law. She recently got married (like five weeks ago!) and is now in our ward! (: It has been amazing! I was sooo happy to see her. She's the most dedicated mom. She loves her kids SO much and now I'm so grateful that she has an amazing husband to support her!
There is tons of work to do here! I'm excited!
Love!

p.s.  I am like ten minutes away from the beach (: haha. I am loving this area so much already! I feel at home here. It's about a 2 hour drive from Fort Walton, but it's a lot prettier ( in my opinion.)

She had to transfer this time

We celebrated Sister Beals birthday last week, and it was a party! (:
Sister Robinson came into our trio and she was soooo stinking awesome!!! I LOVE her so much! I'm so glad I was able to be her companion for a couple of days.
President Smith called and told me that I needed to be in a different area...
Saying goodbye to people was kind of rough, but I definitely feel that it was what the Lord needed me to do.

Andd.......... I'm in Lynn Haven Florida now! (: And I LOVE it! I only got here yesterday! But oh my goodness, the people here are so sweet! The ward members LOVE the missionaries. it's the best! I love it! I miss Fort Walton like crazy, but I'm so blessed already. I feel like I have been here my whole life!

I live by Panama City Beach now, so I'm just hugging the panhandle!
I have a bunch of pictures, they just aren't loading today. I'll send them next week!

My new companions name is Sister Evans! (: She's awesome! and LOADS taller than me! She's only been out for 8 weeks, so I'll be finishing up her training! She seems super ready to work, and I'm very excited to work with her!
Loads of love!

I asked her about the animals she had seen. Here is the reply.

(:  I'm so glad things are going better! Y'all are in my prayers! I've seen a lot of animals and insects! haha. Possums, squirrels(Sis McClellan and I call them land dolphins), rats, cockroaches, jelly fish, alligators, eagles, hawks, panthers, TONS OF DOGS and cats, spiders, ferrets, fish (there's a pet store we will walk into sometimes to get a break from the heat(: ) the weather has started to cool down FINALLY! I'm SOOO happy! The humidity has been lowering a bit, as well. So far we don't look like we're in any imminent danger for hurricanes. Most likely we'll just get a bunch of rain. If something were to happen, we have a family we're designated to stay with and the mission also would evacuate us before anything for-see-able would occur.
Life as a missionary is truly so GREAT. I feel extremely blessed.........
especially because I'M STAYING IN FORT WALTON FOR ANOTHER 6 WEEKS (: #webeblessed Here in the land of Zion, the members are getting more and more united... IT'S AMAZING. I'm so grateful to see the change that has occurred from February to now (: Things are coming full circle. Sister Miller and I will be staying together (dream come true!) and Sister Stradinger will be leaving. We'll be getting another companion again! Which Sister Miller will be training! (: I am so excited for this next transfer.
I love the quote from Elder Uchtdorf,

"
Part of our challenge is, I think, that we imagine that God has all of His blessings locked in a huge cloud up in heaven, refusing to give them to us unless we comply with some strict, paternalistic requirements He has set up. But the commandments aren’t like that at all. In reality, Heavenly Father is constantly raining blessings upon us. It is our fear, doubt, and sin that, like an umbrella, block these blessings from reaching us.

His commandments are the loving instructions and the divine help for us to close the umbrella so we can receive the shower of heavenly blessings."

Obedience truly does bring blessings!

Things are really fantastic here (:
This week we taught more lessons than we ever have before, it was AMAZING. It feels SO good to be able to have numbers that you feel reflect your efforts. But even when they don't, we know we work hard (: I was able to see 6 of my past companions this week at a half mission conference! I loved it! I truly have been blessed to serve with some of the most sweet sisters in the mission (: There were two general authorities that came and visited, Elder Brent H Nielson and Vern Stanfill (he was newly called this past April, so he hasn't had a chance to speak yet(;  ) Elder Nielson's talk this past conference was on waiting and loving and watching  those you love who are choosing to not participate in the gospel yet. At the end they chose 8 random missionaries to be interviewed, and I was one of them! It wasn't so much of an interview as a "get to know you" sort of thing. He was very kind and was surprised that I would be out on a mission even though my father and brothers weren't active in the church. It really made me reflect on how everything in my life fell into place. I love the SMALL moments that the Lord provided me the spiritual guidance I needed. I promise that He is sending them to you as well! Everyone is blessed with the Light of Christ. We just need to seek it out in order to know how to keep it within our hearts forever!

(: I love serving here, and I'll get pictures next week (I left my camera at the apartment!)

11 months

The time really does go by so fast! I am excited to have all my experiences from my mission to reflect on. My birthday was super great, the members were super sweet and had us over for dinner all week (: We enjoyed eating cake and ice cream every night!
School starts this week so everyone and their dog were busy, so that was kind of hard.. but we still managed to teach people and bring them closer to Christ (:
I love having the time as a missionary to study every day. There are ALWAYS great things to be learned. Even though sometimes I get kind of "bored," I find if I keep reading then a new treasure always pops up!

The gospel is real! (:
I'll be emailing again on Saturday since we have a mission conference on Monday

Her Birthday is Tomorrow!

Life is so great!! (: I just love love love being a missionary and having some super awesome companions! We've been able to just have fun and enjoy life! Sis Miller was sick on Tuesday, and then I took a turn for being sick on Saturday. But we still almost met a lot of our goals! (:  So it was really neat knowing that the Lord still allows us to see His children, even if we're not able to be out all day. I'm excited to see how close we'll be to getting our goals this week since none of us will be sick (:
Beverly probably won't get baptized at the end of the month since her life is crazy right now. She finally found a new place to live, but it's very low income area and she doesn't have a job yet. Something I love about the black community is their willingness to help each other. Everyone is a cousin, even if they're not related.

This week I reflected a lot on my Cambodia experience, and I am extremely grateful for the experience I had there. It has helped me so much out in the mission field to remember how easy it is to love those you willingly serve.
I love everyone back at home and I'm also grateful for the experience I was able to share with y'all. (: I know the Lord is watching over you.
Love,

August 3rd

Things are going well! (: I'm super happy with Miller and Stradinger! hah Sis Miller always steals my camera and takes a bunch of photos... so here they are!

Life is pretty good. We've been struggling to stay exactly obedient... and we've definitely seen the lack of blessings from it. So we're going to strive to be even more obedient this week so we can keep up the blessings for the Fort Walton area (: because they deserve the best!!
We have some awesome members here who are willing to do ANYTHING for us. We've had people drop off ice cream in the middle of the night (which is 10:00pm for missionaries) or give us a ride up to crestview (a 40 min drive) and so many other things. I feel so blessed to be serving here. We're fed at least 3 times a week, but usually more. And we've been able to find tons of super prepared people!! One family we met this week just moved from Missouri and they already live like mormons.... So we're going to start teaching them and hopefully the father's heart can be softened so he'll let the rest of the family get baptized! (; They're missing out on so many blessings simply because they haven't made that covenant with God. But once they do,.,..... BOOOM. So many blessings!!

Love y'all!
Remember, obedience  brings blessings!!!!

Best Week Ever!

The weeks just keep getting better and better!!! Our trio is awesome! I'm companions with someone that I've loved and adored my whole mission, and now I get to spend every waking moment with her!!! (: Sister Miller is easily one of my favorite sisters in the mission!! And I know y'all will love her, too, since she steals my camera and takes pictures.... (: haha. So I have a whole bunch! She is from Lubbuck Texas and is a convert... and she's super cool! I love her!

This week we were able to have so many miracles, it was amazing! I'm super grateful for the spirit and being able to learn and grow with the different companions I have (: There's a lot of work to do, and we're all ready and willing to go out and do it!!
The ward had an awesome activity with making cardboard boats! (: So that was super fun! I love it here. So much.

Have a super week!
Also, could you possibly send me either via email or by mail a picture of me when I was Fiona's age? i want to show everyone how much we look alike (: haha.

Loads of love!
