Another Transfer

So this week! Another transfer! Yay! ha(: I'm now in Fort Walton Beach 1st ward!! It's super amazing here and my companions are THE BEST. Sister Udy goes home this transfer, and Sister McClellan is on her 2nd transfer. We all get along and love each other so much, it's almost unbelievable! (: Our teaching is in unity, and although we're not perfect, we still get a "hecka" good lesson most of the time(: I love being a missionary and I love love love the progress we've seen in our investigators. We have 2 investigators who are ready to act on their faith through baptism, and one who is dang close! The ward here is a lot smaller than Niceville's, but the active members do a great job at pitching in and helping the missionaries to not starve. ha(:

I'm glad to hear that things are going well back at home! Even though there are hard times, I know that they make the good times even sweeter (:
Something I've really come to treasure this week is knowing that the sacrament is to help us focus and realign our sights on Christ. What a glorious concept!

Love,
Sis Willes

Happy Valentine's Day * Note the new address*

Happy anniversary yesterday, mom and dad! (: I hope you were able to do something together to make it special.
This week was super great! We had some ups and some downs, and definitely to the extremes. But, as usual, the joy out weighs the sadness ((: Ellis was baptized: and that was really great! The joy she had was contagious, and the whole event was super happy.
One random note: Hanna Smith spells her name HANNA without an H. So if you can keep that up, then she won't get mad at me anymore for writing it wrong on the blog (; haha. (Don't worry: currently we're even since she misspelled my name earlier this week.)
We had a super cute Relief Society activity: "Guess Whooo" We each brought 3-5 things about ourselves and laid them out on a table with numbers and we had to guess which number matched with the right person. It was really fun to see what things people brought for themselves (: Even really good friends in the ward didn't guess each others things!
Sara Ng is basically my favorite friend of the week! She sent me some warm fuzzies (: Their timing was impeccable!
This week we went on exchanges and I LOVED IT SO MUCH. NOT because I was away from my companions, but because the sister I was with is AWESOME. Probably my most favorite Sister Training Leader so far since she is SO real. She is honest and still says the corny things, but recognizes how to help you reach the goals you've set for yourself. I love her a lot and can't wait to hang out with her after the mission (:
I've now been out for 5 months, which is CRAZY. I remember being with Sister Maxwell and thinking I'd never get to 5 months. But here I am! Now time is going to go by even faster!!
I love everyone and hope that all is well, or at least you're turning to God to try and make it well!
Love,
Sister Willes

To Karly:  I think it was sis Riley who spelled Hanna = Hannah.  So she may just have to get over it.  I mean, how many times do people spell Willes = Willis or mispronounce it?    From: mom    P.S. did you get transferred?  I noticed your new address.

Small World

o this past week I was at the church and a Sister from the stake was getting set apart to go serve in the MESA ARIZONA mission!!! (: So my guess is she's with Natalie right now! SO COOL! haha. I took a picture with her, so I'll try to remember to attach that.
This week was fairly awesome. We each took turns being emotional and then had a bomb diggity time working hard and serving like crazy. We helped a pregnant woman move, and she would NOT SIT STILL. She was starting to have contractions and we had to force her to stay seated and just watch us. haha(: She has a little two year old son and her husband is deployed right now and won't be back until NEXT March. So he's missing the first year of his second child's life ): So sad. But I know that what he is doing is worth it. And in the grand scheme of things, one year isn't too long. Later on he'll be there for his family to help them in more things. Michelle, the wife, is super strong in the gospel. She was baptized back in June in Kentucky and hasn't lost her faith in Heavenly Father. She knows that He answers prayers, and sometimes more abundantly than you could imagine! The ward is AMAZING and has been helping her out with SO much.
Ellis is great, as always (: She gets baptized this Saturday! She is so excited, it is so dang great! I have loved getting to hear her testimony and see her faith in Christ be strengthened by the second. Her and her family have become so much closer, and they are all so happy (: I am excited to be able to see where their life goes as they make covenants with our Heavenly Father.
Remember that God loves us, and we are HIS children.

Groundhog's Day

This week was fairly good. We're looking forward to Ellis' baptism on the 14th (: her family has come to grow SO MUCH closer than before> Something they weren't expecting. In their own words, "We didn't know we could be even closer." That's what the gospel of Jesus Christ does (: helps families to be together for ETERNITY. I love the opportunity to serve a mission. Although we might not have perfect days, the end of the week still feels perfect (: everything we have been doing is to help the Lord hasten His work.
Keep strong and remember that your covenants are more than promises: they're blessings!
